Farrah Samimi is a Marriage and Family Therapist Trainee at Heartstrings Counseling, where she brings a compassionate and collaborative approach to supporting individuals, couples, and families. She is currently completing her Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy at National University and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from UC Santa Barbara.

Farrah’s professional background includes over a decade of experience in behavioral health and state healthcare services. She previously worked as a Behavioral Therapist at the Center for Autism and Related Disorders, where she provided direct Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy, family support, and clinical assessments for neurodiverse children and their families. Her state service roles at the Department of Health Care Services have honed her analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills—attributes she brings into her clinical work.

Farrah is committed to creating a safe and affirming space for clients of all backgrounds. She draws on both evidence-based practices and her own lived experiences to help clients navigate anxiety, life transitions, relationship dynamics, and personal growth. Her passion for mental wellness is grounded in a belief that healing begins with empathy, presence, and genuine connection.

In her free time, Farrah enjoys staying active with workouts and outdoor adventures, discovering new restaurants, indulging in a bit of shopping, and exploring new places through travel.
