Peyton Gillen is a Marriage and Family Therapist Trainee at Heartstrings Counseling and is a graduate student at the University of San Francisco. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with a minor in Child and Adolescent Development from California State University, Sacramento.
Peyton is committed to creating a space where clients feel seen, understood, and appreciated through empathetic listening and kindness. She is passionate about healing trauma through compassion and providing a sense of safety for people to tell their story. Peyton values client-centered therapy and guiding clients on a journey of self-discovery, highlighting their strengths, and empowering them. She has experience working with children and adolescents with anxiety, depression, and trauma, while helping provide the tools that allow for growth. She is excited to work with clients of all ages and embark on the healing journey together.
In her free time, Peyton loves to go on walks, listen to music, and practice yoga. She also enjoys trying new coffee shops and finding the best food places in town.
