Ryan Sessions

Marriage & Family Therapist Trainee
Supervised by Darla Gale, LMFT #92413
Ryan brings a rare combination of clinical training and lived experience to his work as a therapist trainee. He is a former collegiate athlete, military veteran with four overseas deployments, and firefighter-paramedic for over ten years. Ryan has spent much of his life in high-stakes, performance-driven environments. These experiences give him a deep understanding of stress, trauma, identity, and the mental demands placed on those in service-oriented and high-responsibility roles.
Ryan is dedicated to creating a grounded, respectful, and nonjudgmental space where clients can speak openly and honestly. He integrates evidence-based therapeutic approaches with real-world perspective to help clients navigate anxiety, trauma, life transitions, relationship challenges, and burnout. His approach is practical, direct, and collaborative, meeting clients where they are while supporting meaningful and lasting change.
Outside of therapy, Ryan values physical training and discipline and actively trains in jiu-jitsu. He believes that mental health and physical well-being are deeply connected and encourages sustainable practices that support both resilience and balance in everyday life.
